Did you know: Vellies are traditional handmade leather shoes that the father of each household would have made for the whole family. Boy’s shoes were made by putting a thick piece of leather in water to soften it. Afterward it would be moulded to the shape of the foot and the top leather would be added. Girl’s shoes were made from thinner leather with higher soles. Vellies were widely worn during the Great Trek and were very comfortable. Remember - if you want to be like the Voortrekkers, rather leave the socks at home.

Het jy geweet:  Die velskoen (vellies) is tradisionele handgemaakte skoene wat deur die pa van ‘n huisgesin gemaak is.  Seunskoene is gemaak deur ‘n stuk soolleer in water te sit om dit te laat sag word.  Daarna het die kind sy voet op die leer gedruk om die regte vorm en grootte van die sool te kry waarna die bo-kant van die skoen oorgewerk is.  Meisies het gewoonlik skoentjies van dunner leer met ietwat hoër sole gekry. Vellies is wyd en syd tydens die Groot Trek gemaak en gedra. Maar onthou, as jy eg-Voortrekker wil wees, los maar die sokkies in die laai.

R75-R139 for orders under 5kg in volumetric size. The precise cost will be determined on your location.

R90 - R165 for orders above 5kg in volumetric size. The exact cost will be determined based on your location. 

International deliveries

All international deliveries are made by Fedex or UPS couriers and the courier cost depends upon the volumetric size. Your shipping cost will be quoted separately based on the country we are dispatching to and the size of your parcel. 

Please note: A local import-duty can be applicable depending on the country that you reside in.

You are like family to us! If your product arrives damaged we will exchange it. Please note the following conditions apply:

  • You let us know of any damages within 7 days of your purchase
  • The product is still in its original packaging
  • The product is in the same condition as you received it

If your product is undamaged but you changed your mind or if you need another size or colour - we will meet you halfway. You can send the product back to us on your account or ask us to assist you in arranging a courier. We will then deliver the new product to you on our cost. All other conditions remain the same - namely that you should please inform us within 7 days and that the item should still be in its original condition. 

If you wish to return a product for a refund you will have to return the product to Repubk on your own account. Once we have received the product and it is in the original condition you received it we will make a refund via EFT. 

For international order all exchanges are for the account of the client.
